BEGQ: Beginning Quilting

Make your first quilt with Alex Anderson's Book. You'll learn blocks that will give you 12 Easy Layout options and 4 sizes. Use and learn accurate rotary cutting and 1/4" seam while piecing this lovely top. Or if that makes you nervous, we can start you with "3 Across" where you work on rudiments of sewing.

* Book/pattern, fabric, and tools, all purchased separately.

You must come to class with your fabric picked out ahead of time. There is not enough time to pick fabric the morning of the class.

Skill Level: Beginner
Skill Details: Need to be able to operate your sewing machine in most basic functions, physically able to cut fabric using downward force (don't worry, we'll show you techniques and accuracy).
Requirements: Book: Make Your First Quilt by Alex Anderson. Rotary cutter & scissors, cutting mat with grid (bigger is better), 6.5"x24.5" ruler, neutral cotton thread, sewing machine with power and accessories and 75/11 quilting needles, seam ripper and spare bobbins. *Book/pattern, fabric, and tools, all purchased separately.
