We are honored to have RaNae Merrill coming to Gruber’s
Monday, May 24th 2010 for a 2 different half-day workshops!
The First: Simply Amazing Nesting Spirals - $50.00
Learn to design and sew your own original Nesting spiral block. Nesting
spirals are the simplest type of the four Simply Amazing Spirals. They
are similar to a Twisted Log Cabin Block, but we’ll take the idea much
further. Using the techniques in
RaNae’s best-selling book Simply Amazing Spiral Quilts, learn to create
a Nesting spiral in any shape, plus a variety of ways to color them and
use them in a quilt. You’ll have time in class to sew a Nesting spiral
block, then either finish a single
block into a pot holder or use it as the start of a larger quilt.
The Second: Designing a Simply Amazing Spiral Quilt - $50.00
Get to know the four Simply Amazing Spirals, and learn to use them in
your own
unique spiral quilt design. Use spirals in stand-alone blocks or combine
them to create dramatic flow forms. No sewing required. This workshop
combines with the first
for a full day of designing and sewing a spiral Quilt.
Take both classes for only $75.00
