Laura Bush visits Gruber's Quilt Shop
(You Should too!)
On August 10th, 2004 we were
honored by a visit from our "First Lady"
Laura Bush.
She was given a list of successful business women in the St. Cloud area, and she choose to come to our shop!
I'm not sure what the
criteria was to be included on that list,
but was very honored to be included on it, and even more honored by her choice
to come to such an awesome shop.
(as were my parents)
Gruber's is
blessed with the best staff of women you could ever hope to encounter
(23 of them currently) oh, and we can't forget Russ.
Mrs. Bush in not a quilter, but she has a huge
appreciation for our Art.
Laura ended up spending a little over two hours in our shop. She ran the HQ16,
as did the Secret Service.
(to make sure it was safe!)
DanTree Court has a large Courtyard with plush
Leather Furniture
as well as Cable TV
(a waiting place for Husband's)
When the White House staff found out it was 120 ft x 120 ft,
her entire visit to our area was held in DanTree Court!
(the little strip mall were located in, named for my daughters)
