Appliqué Sew-Ciety
Prerequisite: Beginning Hand Appliqué
Instructor: Beth Probasco
If you like hand appliqué (or other hand work) and you like to socialize with
others,
then come and join Beth at Appliqué Sew-Ciety.
You can work on the group project or your own project.
Each month either a technique will be demonstrated or there will be a general
help session.
There is plenty of time to appliqué and socialize. The coffee pot will be on!
We meet the 4th Monday from 1- 4:30 PM.
Even if you do not want to work on the group project, you are welcome to join
us.
This is a good follow-up to the Beginning Hand Appliqué class. Come when you
can.

Butterfly Kisses
Block of the Month:
Feb. – Nov. 2008
Level: Beginner Plus
The fabric and pattern for
“Butterfly Kisses” are from Andover Fabrics. The quilt is 91” x 91”.
Over a period of 10 months, you will receive 10 patterns, fabric for 9 quilt
blocks and
all the fabric for the borders and binding, as well as extra project sheets.
“Butterfly Kisses” will meet the second Saturday of each month for one
hour, at which time; the block construction will be demonstrated. In November, a
sewing session will be held to help with border construction (other sewing
sessions will be considered, if requested).

The number of kits are limited and pre-registration is required.

Clothesline Club
Using Darlene
Zimmerman’s projects and fabrics, we learn new techniques each month
such as pillows, tea towels, table toppers and runners, aprons, prairie points,
ruffles, etc.
to name a few. We also have sew-ins and lots of fun!

Coffee Club
Miniature Block of the Month
Do you like coffee?
Cocoa? How about quilting?
Then join me for a new adventure.
Taste a different coffee each month & take home a new project.
Bring in your completed block the following month & receive a free small drink
of the week.
Each block will measure 16” x 20” finished.
You will have enough for a gorgeous sampler quilt or 12 individual wall
hangings.
Sign up Now! The 1st block will be available to pick up on Sun. Jan. 27th
& then every 4th Sunday of the month after that. Please come to the Café to
pick them up.
Our hours are the same as the quilt shop (12am-5pm).

Toes Sock Club with Barb Pladson

Each meeting will include a free sock pattern, a knitting gadget, and a pattern
read-through.
You supply the enthusiasm, yarn and needles as we explore
a variety of techniques for knitting socks.

new “little “ quilt each month.
They are so cute and don’t require a lot of fabric or time.
Not as difficult as you think when you know the “tricks”!
We have a charm square exchange (optional) , sew-ins, retreats and a “little”
quilt show.
Traditional patterns and fabrics from the civil war era also explored.

We will be demonstrating a different technique or tool at each session.

This kit includes the fabrics and pattern for 1 block.
If you complete the block and bring it in for show & tell, the next month’s
block will be free.
Each month you will have an opportunity to purchase a bonus block
giving you 24 blocks for your Sampler Saturday Quilt.

Quilt measures 72” x 78” without borders or you can make individual wall

Thimbleberries Club
2008 big quilt
project is “Lodge” or “Lakeside”.
“Lodge” is done in a dark north woodsy palette while “Lakeside” is done in a
light palette.
Each quilt has trees and stars and a pre-printed panel.
The big quilt (these can be paid for quarterly or yearly) is for club members
only,
however there are four quarterly projects available to everyone.
Samples of both projects will be in our classroom for viewing.
We meet every 3rd Thursday at 1:00pm or 6:00pm.
Membership fee is $12.00 per year and includes monthly projects
and a Thimbleberries charm pack.
