Beginner I Quilting
Instructor: Beth Probasco
Level: Absolute beginner

This class provides an introduction to basic quilt making supplies, terminology, fabric selection, proper rotary cutting, and
quarter-inch seam allowance. If you have little sewing or quilting experience, if you have not made a quilt for many years, or even if you have been piecing quilt tops, you will want to take this class.

Beginner II Quilting
Instructor: Beth Probasco
Prerequisite: Beginner I
Level: Beginner
This class is designed for those who want to learn to piece a quilt of their own or want to assure they are using current and accurate quilt making techniques. Rotary cutting, sewing, and basic quilt piecing techniques will be used to complete a Rail Fence wall quilt or baby quilt.

Beginner III Quilting

Paintstik Possibilities
with Nancy Kazlauckas
This class will introduce you to several different methods of using paintstiks. You will use paintstiks for rubbings and
stenciling (several different stenciling methods). The end result will be a beautiful artful wall hanging or each block could be made into a pillow. You will see hands on demonstrations.

Saturday Showcase

Our project for 2008 is “A Patchwork Garden!
This scrappy sampler can be made with or without the machine
appliquéd flowers.  Quilt measures 72” x  78” without borders or you can make individual wall hangings from the monthly blocks.  First month fee is $5.00.  Come back with a finished block each month thereafter and the patterns are free.

Drop Spindling 101

Have you ever wanted to learn how to spin your own yarn?  Get introduced to the wonderful art of spinning with a drop spindle. Portable and rich in history, spinning is fun to learn.  We’ll learn about using the spindle, choosing spinning fibers, playing with a spindle and much more.  All it takes is a little practice and a sense of humor. Come as you are! No previous skills needed.
