Absolute Beginner’s Quilting Class
Part 1 Getting Started with Peggy Aschenbrenner
Cost: $25.00
Level:
Beginner with little or no sewing machine experience. Taught
with more detail and at a slower pace.
Come join the fun in learning how to use your sewing machine,
make fabric selections, learn quilting terminology,
choose tools and supplies and how to use them.
Practice proper rotary cutting and achieve perfect seam
allowances for your first class project in Absolute Beginner’s
Quilting class, Part 2. Part 1 is a technique and lecture class,
with practice on scrap fabric.

Part 2 for class project.
Ask for a supply list when registering for this class.

Absolute Beginner’s Quilting Class
Part 2 – Rail Fence Project with Peggy Aschenbrenner
Cost: $25.00
Prerequisite: Absolute Beginner’s Quilting Class, Part 1
We continue where Absolute Beginner’s Quilting Class Part 1 left
off --well on our way to making your first quilt project
practicing accurate cutting, sewing perfect seam allowances, and
learning pressing techniques. You will be getting guidance
on techniques for finishing your quilt up to the borders in a
non-rushed setting with plenty of time for questions.

about borders, batting, basting and binding.

hour to pick out your fabrics & supplies.

Absolute Beginner’s Quilting Class
Part 3 - 6 B’s - Blocking, Borders, Backing, Batting, Basting,
and Binding with Peggy Aschenbrenner
Cost: $15.00
Prerequisite: Beginners, Part 1 & 2,
or you need to have sewing machine & quilting experience.
Learn how to correctly square up quilt blocks, put borders on
without puckers, piece the backing, decide what type of batting
to use for your projects or for your project from Absolute
Beginners Quilting Class part 2.
Then quilt basting and tools with several techniques will be
demonstrated. We will practice putting binding on a potholder.

Beginning Machine Quilting with Chris
Hoover

Learn how to complete your quilting projects by quilting
them yourself. Chris will walk you through the
basics from stitch in the ditch to free hand feathers. No
experience necessary!

Level: Beginner with sewing machine experience.
If no sewing machine experience,
please sign up for Absolute Beginner’s Quilting Class.
(Beginner’s Quilting Express is a faster paced class with all
the basics covered.)
Come join the fun in learning how to make fabric selections,
learn terminology, how to use the tools, practice proper rotary

Give the old favorite traditional double wedding ring a new
twist by adding star points. It is what Judy did to her Bali
Wedding Star quilt. Using jelly rolls makes this quilt faster to
make than it
looks. In fact, Gruber’s even has 88 jelly roll strips ready for

Kids Beginning Knitting with Barb

ages 10-13. You will learn how to cast on, do the
knit stitch, and bind off. Bring one skein of yarn
